Police in the US have released chilling footage of a ‘potential abduction’ which is believed to show a woman being bundled away ‘by force’.

Cops in Wichita, Kansas, have called on the public for help in identifying the two people in the alarming surveillance footage following the alleged kidnapping.

Officials took to social media to share an appeal after the worrying incident occurred in the early hours of Sunday (October 12) morning.

Take a look at the video here:

Wichita Police Capt. Todd Ojile told a press conference on Tuesday (October 14) that a homeowner with a Ring doorbell reported that they had captured footage ‘showing a female being grabbed by a male, and then forced away from the area’.

“Our main concern is the safety and welfare of the woman seen in that video,” Wichita Police Chief Joe Sullivan added.

“Detectives have been working diligently, following every lead and tip we have received.”

Police then posted the unsettling footage on X, calling on the community to ‘help identify and locate the female’ seen in the clip.

“She was last seen being taken by force on October 12, 2025, at approximately 2 AM., in the 1400 block of North Volutsia,” the post read. “Your assistance is vital in helping us ensure her safety.”

The 20-second video shows a woman being dragged away from a front door as she lets out an incoherent scream – although officers haven’t yet been able to work out what she was saying.

Wichita Police said they are hoping that a member of the public may recognise her voice or appearance, which could help them piece together the mysterious incident.

Cops said it currently remains unclear if the man and woman left on foot or via a vehicle.

In an update shared online yesterday (October 13), the force said they had ‘followed up on numerous leads’ but had still not been able to track down the pair in the clip.

“Exploring all options, we’ve reached out to our regional and federal law enforcement partners for additional assistance,” it said.

“Our team has processed the audio, reducing background noise, hoping that someone will recognise her voice.

Another press conference regarding the potential abduction is set to be held, according to cops.

Wichita Police Capt. Aaron Moses said: “Our priority here remains that the female’s safety and verifying that she is safe.

“So I would say, even if you are the female in this video and you’re concerned about calling us, please call us so that we can verify that you are safe, and then we will continue our investigation to what occurred.”

According to ABC News, authorities are offering a $2,000 reward for information leading to the identification of the man or woman seen in the video.
