President Volodymyr Zelenskyy has been hailed as a ‘comedian’ after his ‘hilarious’ activity following his clash with US President Donald Trump and Vice President JD Vance in the Oval Office.

The 47-year-old Ukrainian leader’s trip to Washington on Friday (February 28) to finalise a deal on minerals was abruptly cut short when Trump, 78, ordered him to leave the vicinity and cancelled a joint press conference, as per BBC.

As well as accusing Zelenskyy of ‘gambling with World War III’, the 47th President of the United States claimed Ukraine didn’t ‘have the cards’ to continue its fight with Russia.

Amid the spat, US Vice President Vance, 40, asked the politician: “Do you think it’s respectful to come to the Oval Office of the United States of America that’s trying to prevent the destruction of your country?”

He then said: “Have you said thank you once? During this entire meeting?”

In reply, Zelenskyy said he had shown gratitude ‘a lot of times’, remarking ‘even today’.

The Ukrainian Prime Minister later dismissed the Republican for speaking ‘very loudly about the war’, as per The Daily Mail, which earned him an interruption from Trump.

“He’s not speaking loudly,” the convicted felon said, remarking that Zelenskyy should listen.

As Zelenskyy continued to argue against Trump, Vance said: “Just say thank you.”

“Accept that there are disagreements and let’s go litigate those disagreements rather than trying to fight it out in the American media when you’re wrong. We know that you’re wrong.”

Following the fiery meeting, the Ukrainian leader used his X account to thank the American people and Trump himself for their ongoing ‘support’.

“Thank you America, thank you for your support, thank you for this visit. Thank you @POTUS, Congress, and the American people,” he typed. “Ukraine needs just and lasting peace, and we are working exactly for that.”

This note of gratitude is just one of the many Zelenskyy has posted on X over the last few days.

Other ‘thank you’ messages have been publicly sent to Jakov Milatovic, the President of Montenegro, Zuzana Čaputová, the former President of Slovakia, and the official account for Swedish leader Ulf Kristersson, all of whom shared their own champion statements on the platform.

It appears Zelenskyy has responded to every message of endearment with the same five words: “Thank you for your support.”

Social media users have noticed that the father-of-two’s flurry of ‘thank you’ notes has continued following the Oval Office interview.

One user has gone as far as to upload a screen recording to the platform featuring some of his replies.

“After Vance accused Zelensky of not saying thank you, Zelensky is now tweeting individual thanks to every single world leader expressing solidarity with Ukraine,” the X user wrote alongside the clip.

In response, someone typed: “This is hilarious tbh.”

A second echoed: “I applaud his pettiness.”

A third replied: “He was thanking everyone throughout last week as well. Check his timeline.

“Me when I reply to facebook birthday posts,” another social media user joked.

A fifth wrote: “Actually pretty funny. He should’ve been a comedian..”

Following his meeting with Trump and Vance, Zelenskyy headed to the UK to meet with Prime Minister Sir Keir Starmer.

The meeting came ahead of today’s (March 2) international summit on security at Lancaster House in central London, where European leader’s have arrived to discuss support for – and the security of – Ukraine.
