Venezuela Fury, 16, Breaks Silence on Sudden Engagement—Tyson's Surprising Reaction Revealed

Is there an unwritten rule somewhere that “sweet sixteen” parties now double as seasons of The Bachelor? Because Tyson Fury’s daughter, Venezuela, just turned lasting memories into trending headlines by getting engaged smack in the middle of her birthday bash—crystal ring, 300 guests, and all. Sixteen! I can tell you, when I was sixteen, my biggest commitment was remembering my MySpace password, not choosing lifelong partners on the dance floor. Here’s the kicker: in the UK, you’re legally allowed to get engaged at 16 (parental blessing optional), but you can’t walk down the aisle till 18. So, what was heavyweight champ Tyson’s reaction? Shock, nerves, maybe pride—imagine being the guy who has to ask him for his little girl’s hand! Now, spill the punch—do you think teen engagements these days are just glamorous TikTok moments, or are we all just old fashioned? There’s plenty more drama where that came from—LEARN MORE.

Tyson Fury’s firstborn, Venezuela Fury, has revealed what his response was to her shock engagement at 16.

Her boyfriend, Noah Price, 18, popped the question to Venezuela in front of 300 guests at her ‘sweet sixteen’ birthday party last month.

After presenting her with a massive diamond ring, she said yes to Noah in the middle of the dance floor. Legally, you can get engaged at 16 in the UK because an engagement doesn’t require parental consent.

But Venezuela can’t legally marry or enter a civil partnership in England and Wales until she is 18.

In a new interview with The Sun, the eldest of Tyson and wife Paris’s seven kids admitted: “I was very shocked. It all came as a huge surprise. I wasn’t overly emotional because I was so surprised, and I was very nervous, as I realised a lot of people were watching me.

“It was a very exciting moment, though, probably one of the best of my life.

“But I would have been content if he had asked me to marry him anywhere. I didn’t care about the ‘big proposal’, but I am very happy.”

Venezuela, who went Instagram official with Noah in August, revealed that he got permission from the former world heavyweight boxing champion before getting down on one knee.

“I think any boy would be scared of my dad!” she said. “But it’s the respectful thing to do.

“He said he was having palpitations about doing it, he was all kinds of nervous. It went well, though. My dad wouldn’t interfere, he’s very supportive of whatever I do. He’s very happy for us.”

Her mum, Paris, has also defended the decision to let her teenage daughter get engaged.

The At Home with the Fury’s star noted that Noah happens to be an aspiring boxer and happens to have a lot in common with her dad.

“He does boxing on the side,” Venezuela added. “It’s something for them to talk about. They haven’t trained together, so maybe they will now.”

The 16-year-old said she is ‘really in love’ with her ring and that it ‘looks bigger in real life than in pictures’ because she’s got ‘massive shovel hands’ from her dad.

“It’s a white gold, diamond band with a diamond solitaire,” she explained.

“A few weeks ago, Noah did say: ‘I’m getting a ring for you,’ but I didn’t give it a lot of thought.

“Since we first started going out, he’s always said: ‘I’m going to marry you,’ but I didn’t know when it was going to happen.”
