Watch: Mysterious Ghost Cat Vanishes Without a Trace on Camera – What Really Happened?

Ever had a visitor vanish into thin air and left scratching your head wondering if you just caught a ghost on camera? Well, Morgan Shields from West Palm Beach, Florida, definitely did — except her mysterious midnight guest was a cat that she’d been feeding for months, only for it to disappear in a blink on her Ring doorbell footage. Now, whether this feline is a spirit animal sent to keep her company after the loss of her dog, or just an optical illusion courtesy of camera frame rates, it’s stirred quite the mix of shock, curiosity, and downright bafflement online. I mean, if your house has to be haunted, wouldn’t you rather have it by a “scary kitty” than a mischievous poltergeist? Take a peek and decide if you’re ready to believe in ghost cats or just the quirks of modern technology. LEARN MORE.

A woman from Florida was left shocked and confused after the cat she’s been feeding for months appeared to disappear into thin air on camera.

Even if ghosts do truly exist, it’s never going to be easy to capture them on camera, but Morgan Shields reckons she did exactly that when the cat that been appearing at her house at night simply vanished while crossing the road on her Ring doorbell camera, which isn’t the first time the technology has been used to spot apparitions.

If your house is going to be haunted, you’d at least want it to be haunted by a cute cat, and that appears to be the scenario at Morgan’s home in West Palm Beach in Florida, as she’s been visited by the same cat every night for the last two months.

Morgan explained: “One of my dogs died in February and I never had cats come to my house until she died. She is buried on the side of the house.

“First the cat would come every other week and then it became consistent so I thought ill feed it. I was up at 6am and there was something in my mind telling me to watch this cat live.

“So, I was watching it live, the cat was licking itself and then it just ran off. Usually, he would just walk on the sidewalk or go under the truck.

“He is a very quiet cat, very patient, and allows the other animals to eat the food. He is a unique cat, he doesn’t go out hunting or anything like that.

“I started seeing the cat back in June, the cat would come but it would be every week, it wasn’t consistent.

“It could be my dog’s spirit, I used to always make jokes that she’s like a cat. From what I’ve heard cats are very spiritual and I’ve never had cats randomly come to the house.”

Whatever the scenario, it’s better than the ghost who ‘asked a woman’s boyfriend for an inappropriate sex act‘ and it was only after re-watching the video that Morgan started to wonder if the cat she’d been feeding was actually alive.

“I was shocked when I saw the video, I was wondering what was going on. Maybe it is or maybe it isn’t something spiritual. Some people took it too seriously, others were making inside jokes, I think it was a mix of reactions.

“I think I’m in the middle because I’ve never heard of camera frame rates and people were educating me on that.”

Morgan is now convinced that the curious cat could well be a spirit animal sent to protect her after her dog’s death.

She added: “It is very comforting to have the company after losing Nina. The way people see guardian angels, I think unexplainable things can be guardian angels. Maybe because my dog died, this cat feels like I need someone, because I’m still sad about my dog.

Animals in general are just really empathetic. Sometimes they gravitate towards people who are in need. Right now, I’m calling it ‘scary kitty’.”

However, other people in the comments of her video, which has over 15 million views, simply suggested that it might be the quality of her Ring camera which explains the cat’s mysterious disappearance.

One wrote: “Those cameras do that. I had one and it would cut out things and make things look invisible. It’s just the quality of the camera.”

Another posted: “The ring camera only picks up so far!! Sorry to burst your bubble sissy.”

And that certainly would be the most logical answer, with one local family probably left wondering why their cat keeps putting on weight despite being put on diet.
