We probably all ran up the stairs on all fours like a dog when we were kids, but one woman has taken to doing it on regular trips out of the house.

And now Alexia Kraft de la Saulx has shared some of the health benefits and issues she’s experienced since embracing quadrobics three years ago.

While she’s faced some criticism online, with people comparing her movements to those of a dog or a monkey, she’s managed to amass over 100,000 followers on her Instagram page.

People are doing all sorts of things to keep themselves fit, whether it be running crazy ultramarathon distances or simply doing a five-minute exercise, which can help to extend your life.

For Alexia, though, it was quadrobics that caught her interest, and she went on This Morning, providing an unforgettable entrance in the process, to share exactly how she first got into the unusual hobby.

She said: “I came across this bloke doing monkey movements in the park.

“Immediately I met him and thought, ‘There is a story here’.”

After he shared his experience and knowledge with her, Alexia soon became an expert in her own right, and she now shares her skills with her massive social media following, as she becomes connected with nature thanks to her memorable way of moving.

She said: “I like to just explore on all fours.”

Alexia, who is unsurprisingly often stopped while she’s out doing her Tarzan movements, has shared how the intense exercise has impacted her body since starting.

While the impact on her hands and feet isn’t too harsh as she’s ‘used to it’ after three years of practice, the soles of her feet are now ‘quite hard’.

However, the exercise has also left her feeling fitter than ever, as her core and shoulders are now ‘super strong’, while her grip strength is also much better, with tree climbing also a regular part of her outdoor escapades.

Alexia revealed: “I couldn’t do a pull-up before quadrobics, and after months of practice, I could lift three times my weight.”

She also suggests that monkeys are her inspiration, adding: “I think that’s super inspiring, how can we learn to move in that way and use our toes to grip on certain things”.

While it might catch you a bit off guard to see someone move in that way, it’s certainly working out for Alexia, from both a health and social media following perspective.
