A woman who says she had a ‘secret’ relationship with convicted killer Chris Watts has shared grim new details on their time together and revealed there’s things she never told police.

Watts is currently serving five life sentences without the possibility of parole for the 2018 murders of his pregnant wife Shanann and daughters Bella, four, and three-year-old Celeste.

During the investigation it was revealed that Watts had been having an affair with his co-worker Nichol Kessinger, and had lied, telling her that he and his wife were in the final stages of divorce.

However, another woman – Amanda McMahon – has claimed that Watts didn’t just have an affair with Kessinger and says she met up with him several times in 2018.

McMahon told detectives that she had a one-night stand after meeting Watts on Tinder in February or March 2018, around six months before the murders occurred.

She said the pair met on Tinder, met in a Chick-fil-A car park and then drove separately to her house where they watched Shutter Island on DVD.

McMahon said the pair then had consensual sex but that things quickly became unsettling.

She said he became rough and aggressive and described the incident to cops as a ‘rape fantasy’.

In a new interview, McMahon said everything she said to detectives was true but it wasn’t a full account of what happened.

Speaking to the Daily Mail, she said the encounter ‘was not isolated’, happened ‘much earlier’ in 2017, and claimed ‘Watts would continue drifting in and out’ of her life for months.

Opening up about their first sexual encounter she said: “He had just this animalistic fury come over him. He just went into like a zone. He just didn’t look the same in his eyes.

“In the snap of a finger, he went from normal to crazy – like brutal, almost.”

She told the publication that over the course of several months, they met up a handful of times and had sex on at least two more occasions.

She also alleged that he would contact her to ask if he could use her prescription opioids.

“I had my own prescription that he would essentially beg for things out of,’ McMahon claimed.

“It seemed he wanted to get away from something or numb himself… and honestly, I was trying to forget things too, so I understood where he was coming from.”

McMahon said that Watts would also bad-mouth his wife Shanann and appeared to be resentful that she didn’t work.

“He would say the most awful things… talking her down and making her seem like a horrible, unstable person,” she added.

McMahon said the details of their meet ups were now ‘blurry’, and when asked why she didn’t tell the whole story to police, she told the publication she was worried it would impact a custody battle she was involved in at the time.

“I was so fearful of having it blow up in my face… it had to do with substances. It had to do with reckless sex, reckless behavior,’ McMahon told the Daily Mail.

“Disclosing that entire web… isn’t something you want to put out in the public when your ex-husband will load it into a gun and use it as ammo.”

Watts denied ever meeting McMahon and told detectives that his only extramarital affair was with Kessinger.

In response to his denial, McMahon told the outlet that she was surprised but added ‘everything out of his mouth is a lie in some form.’
