Insider Reveals Shocking GTA 6 Secrets — What Rockstar Doesn’t Want You to Know!
So, leaked GTA 6 footage just blasted onto the internet—yeah, thanks to some disgruntled fan mad about the game being digital-only—and it’s spilling some pretty wild tea about what Rockstar has cooked up this time. We’re talking what might be the biggest video game launch ever, raking in over $400 million from 4.38 million pre-orders. That’s a cash mountain even a virtual mugger would envy. Now, for months, we’ve been starved for actual gameplay, only two trailers teasing us and zero real action, with everyone puckering up for that Netflix doc dropping this Thursday, August 27, promising a deep dive into the lives—well, virtual lives—of protagonists Lucia and Jason. But hey, eight days early, someone couldn’t keep their lips sealed and dropped the goods. Rockstar’s been scrambling with takedown notices, which, let’s be honest, is usually a dead giveaway the leak’s legit. And from what we can peep, there’s some juicy features hinting at chaos, mini-games, and maybe even tanks rolling down the street if you cause enough mayhem. So, is the digital embargo on GTA 6 sparking leaks or just making us thirstier for the real deal? Either way, strap in—it’s shaping up to be one hell of a ride.
Leaked GTA 6 footage published to the internet as backlash to the game being a digital only release has revealed some major features for the looming video game.
Expected to be the biggest release in video game history – with more than $400 million earned in 4.38 million pre-orders already according to SensorTower data – the gaming world has finally got what it’s been crying out for.
With just two trailers and zero gameplay footage so far, all eyes had been on next Thursday (27 August) with Rockstar teaming up with Netflix for an in-depth documentary on the Grand Theft Auto VI release including footage of what it will be like to play the game as the protagonists Lucia and Jason. But eight days ahead of this, we’ve got footage courtesy of one unhappy leaker.
The seemingly legit footage has seen DMCA takedown notices issued against social media posts sharing it – after all, why would Rockstar do this if it wasn’t real? And in that footage we can clock some very obvious hints as to what Rockstar has included in the game.
While we wont share the footage due to copyright reasons, here’s what we’ve seen so far.

The GTA 6 Leonida map is huge
The gaming world has wanted more about the playable map area of GTA 6 for years at this stage. Now we have it.
The state of Leonida, based off of Florida, will contain Vice City but all in all, five nameable counties.
Those being Vice Dale County, Mariana County, Kelly County, Leonard County, and Lummox County.
In classic GTA style, the map looks varied and includes compact city areas with narrow roads and highways as well as airports, beaches, and vast countryside areas.
Six star wanted level and 60 FPS potential
GTA 5 scaled back its wanted level system, moving down to a five star system. But the HUD on the leaked footage shows a return to that.
The difference here indicates a return to six stars bringing back tanks on the roads should you cause enough mayhem to warrant it. Bring on the chaos.
The footage has also shone a light once again on the potential for 60 FPS gaming. Both the PS5 and Xbox Series X / S are capable of 60 FPS, but whether we’ll get it remains unknown.
Footage appears to be smooth enough to give us the 60-rate but don’t be surprised if this is something only realised truly once the next generation of gaming consoles arrive. At best, we may get it on the PS5 Pro at current console levels.

Mini games and NPCs
Footage shows Jason playing basketball at his safehouse in Leonida, giving hope that there may be mini games we can dive in to during the wider world.
With ball physics very obvious in the leak, we’d be shocked if this wasn’t something that could earn your trophies on your console or up your skills in the character development.
There’s also leaks around playing a game of pool, so it’s safe to say we will be able to truly get immersed in the world of our protagonists.
As for NPCs, we see Jason hit a member of the public with a delivery van only for him to react by trying to attack Jason with a wrench. Fair, and a sign that actions against NPCs will have consequences.
During this fight with the NPC, we also see a devil icon appear on the screen hinting at an honour or reputation system similar to what Rockstar rolled out in Red Dead Redemption 2. How ‘good’ a person you were in RDR2 dictated the relationships you had with characters and the dialogue / cut scenes given to your playthrough experience.

But the leaks come with a warning
According to reputable insider NateTheHate, the footage is more than a year old.
That isn’t to say what we have seen is not coming – it could well be part of the game but with the added time on the project, the final game could be elevated to level above what we’re viewing.
Insider Gaming also reported it wasn’t new via their own anonymous source, saying the footage could well be from as far back as November 2023.
Given how good it looks in the footage, bring on the Netflix doc and then game release.
