Machine Gun Kelly Escalates Feud with Conor McGregor, Shocking Fans by Doubling Down on Controversial Insults
So, Machine Gun Kelly just couldn’t resist savoring the sweet taste of Conor McGregor’s UFC comeback flop, huh? The rapper-turned-ring-side heckler watched with barely concealed delight as the Irish fighter’s night in Vegas ended in a swift, 69-second fiasco thanks to a misstep that forced the referee to call it quits. But here’s the kicker—should you cheer when someone’s down, or is this just classic celebrity beef spilling over? MGK tossed some shade online, mocking McGregor’s ‘old age’ knees and, unsurprisingly, stirred up a hornet’s nest of backlash. Yet, true to form, he refused to apologize, doubling down with a splash of wit and a dash of bravado. With past tangles between them dating back to a red carpet showdown, this saga is far from over. So, who really gets the last laugh—MGK, McGregor, or the fans watching this circus unfold? Dive into the drama and decide for yourself.
Machine Gun Kelly has been basking in Conor McGregor’s misery after he flunked his UFC comeback.
The rapper, singer and songwriter, 36, didn’t disguise his glee after watching the Irish fighter lose against Max Holloway at UFC 329 over the weekend.
After sharing an antagonising social media post which poked fun at McGregor, MGK come under fire from some sports fans – and he’s since doubled down on his remarks and has refused to apologise.
McGregor put on a performance which only lasted just 69 seconds in the early hours of Sunday (12 July) morning in Las Vegas, as a dodgy landing left the referee with no choice but to call the bout off.
Holloway, 34, thought it was for the best too – as he put on a stellar display of good sportsmanship after the fight and explained he didn’t think it was appropriate for McGregor’s offspring to watch their dad in such dire straits.
The Irishman’s four children – Conor Jr, Rian, Mack and daughter Croia – were front row with his wife Dee, who he married last year.

“I just hope he’s good, I know Conor’s been battling some stuff,” the former featherweight champ said. “It looked like he really been changing, he found God.
“He had his kids in there, so during the fight, you could obviously tell his demeanour changed and I was – shout out to the ref – I was trying to tell the ref sooner.
“I was like, ‘This guy’s kids is front row, I don’t want to see him take unnecessary damage, try to stop the fight’. But this is how crazy Conor is. The first time he’s on the ground, I’m punching him, he’s like, ‘Fight, fight!’
“I was like, ‘OK’. That’s why I backed up. I said, ‘Stand up then, let’s fight’. And then he fell back down, and then the fight was called.”
MGK, on the other hand, quite enjoyed seeing McGregor come crashing down – as he made a mockery of the kick that cost him the bout.
He shared footage of the moment to Instagram, as well as an image of him and the controversial UFC star almost coming to blows back in 2021.

MGK captioned the post: “Knees weak of old age the real Conor can’t stand up,” alongside a clown emoji.
These two have beef that dates back a few years, as tempers flared between the musician and the MMA fighter when they ran into each other on the red carpet at the MTV Video Music Awards in New York in 2021.
Last month, McGregor shared his version of what transpired between him and MGK during an appearance on The Ariel Helwani Show.
While discussing the feud between Terence Crawford and Ilia Topuria, the multi-millionaire said: ” He shouldn’t have kicked a man while he was down, especially when you’re ringside. That’s what happened to me and that Machine Gun f**king Kelly guy that time. Not to say they are even the same, but just as a comparison.

“We were at the VMAs, I walk out of the car, I’ve got the whiskey glass, the gold cane, fresh break after breaking the leg. I was like, ‘Megan, how are you darlin’? Your always at the fights, I know you before I know that tick’.
“And he says, ‘We don’t f**k with you’. You don’t fuck with me?
“You was ringside at the fight two f**king days ago! And he’s lucky he didn’t get his face broke badly there.”
So, it seems this beef all stems from MGK not wanting his former fiancée Megan Fox to engage with McGregor on the red carpet, as he clearly isn’t a fan of the Dublin native.
But a few people didn’t think it was cool that the ‘Twin Flame’ singer decided to twist the knife after McGregor said he had been ‘destroyed’ by his failed UFC comeback and criticised MGK in the comment section.
One person said: ” He’s still 7 times ur net worth. Be humble.”
‘Thank you for the walkout being longer than the fight’
Another wrote: “You would never get in a ring with him, real tuff behind a screen.”
And a third added: “Damn, I’m a fan of you, but sh**ting on someone getting an injury when you’d never have the courage to make that walk to the Octagon yourself is kinda lame tbh.”
On Monday (13 July), MGK responded to this backlash – and comically said that he couldn’t give two hoots about supposedly kicking McGregor while he is down.
In a video shared to social media, the father-of-two said: “I’m aware I did a post yesterday and I should probably apologise for…absolutely nothing homie, f**k this dude!
“That’s how beef works, we don’t like each other. Everyone is saying ‘You commented on his age, he’s only one year older than you’. Hey, guess what? We don’t age the same, my knees are awesome.
“‘Oh you wouldn’t say it to his face’ – I already did, that’s why that picture exists of that little leprechaun punching up and missing me and me not flinching.
“Where the f**k is the rest of the footage where we toss this little guy like a piece of dirty drawers across the red carpet? That’s why all the footage starts from far away.”
MGK doesn’t appear to be scared of poking the bear either, as he then made some further jabs towards McGregor.
He went on: “Buddy you look like a drunk, ugly extra in a Sherlock Holmes movie. What in the 1934 am I looking at? Fix your face, holy sh*t.
“‘Why are you kicking him while he’s down?’ F**k this guy when he’s down, up, sideways, asleep, while I’m peeing – sorry – f**k him. What in the f**k happened to your landing strip on your head?
“Worst ten seconds I’ve ever seen. Thank you for the walkout being longer than the fight.”
