The mum of the TikToker who has been arrested for murder in Dubai and faces death by firing squad has issued a desperate plea as she looks to save her daughter’s life.
According to Detained in Dubai, Brooke George, 23, was arrested and charged with premeditated murder after flying to the popular holiday hotspot to meet a man she met on Facebook.
After having the ‘time of her life’ during her first meet-up with British man William Treeby, he allegedly became abusive during their second stay together.
It is claimed that the 26-year-old assaulted her after an evening out at Caffreys Bar in Jumeirah Village, with George pulling a knife on her alleged attacker in self-defence as she sought a way back to the UK.
She was arrested on 22 June and could potentially face the firing squad in Dubai if she is found guilty of murder.
Speaking out about her daughter’s case, Thereza George told Detained in Dubai that she was absolutely ‘terrified’ after the incident and just wanted to go home.

‘I am deeply concerned for her welfare’
“I have never seen my daughter so frightened in my life. She was crying uncontrollably. I could see that one of her eyes was badly swollen and was beginning to close,” she said.
“As Brooke’s mother, I am deeply concerned for her welfare. The daughter I spoke to that night was utterly terrified. I firmly believe she was desperately trying to get home and away from whatever had happened to her.”
Now, in a new interview with The Sun, the 55-year-old has issued a fresh plea to police about finding another man who could be key to the case.
Tess said: “The second time she flew out, those three days, she was on her own almost the whole entire time during the days, just being left at the apartment.
“There were other people there who lived with him, and they were coming in and out and going in and out together. But as far as she knew, that was to do with whatever business he was running out there.”

‘He was on the computer doing stuff online’
She added: “He goes, ‘I’ve got to sort out work, I’ve got to go and meet someone…’ and said he was doing online, whatever he was doing, he was on the computer doing stuff online.”
Tess made it clear that neither she nor her daughter knew for sure what Treeby did for work in Dubai, as she denied any knowledge of what business he was involved in.
There is also the interesting detail that another man appeared to drive Brooke and Treeby around the city during their second visit, despite the pair previously travelling everywhere alone.
Tess believes that this man could be key to the investigation but suggested that he hasn’t yet been spoken to by police, saying: “I can say… no, is the answer. No. No availability, let’s say that.”
Noting the change in atmosphere at her daughter’s second visit, Tess added: “There were people talking… conversations that they kept walking out for. The feel of the apartment and the other guys in there, the dynamic felt different.”

Both Tess and Detained in Dubai will now be fighting for Brooke’s release from prison in the UAE, where a number of British nationals have fallen foul of the country’s strict laws in the past.
Radha Stirling, the CEO of Detained in Dubai, said the case ‘raises serious concerns about violence against women, the right to self defence, due process and the treatment of British nationals detained overseas’.
“Brooke maintains that she acted only after being subjected to a violent assault and in genuine fear for her safety. She should be treated not merely as an accused person, but as a presumed victim of violence whose allegations and documented injuries deserve proper investigation,” she added.
“We will be working to ensure that her rights are protected, that she receives a fair trial, and that the circumstances leading to this tragedy are fully and impartially examined.”
