Ms. Rachel has put her money where her mouth is and matched Macklemore’s million dollar donation to Palestine in the aftermath of him being removed from Ed Sheeran’s tour.
That is assuming there’s a tour left at this point, as all of the support acts have followed Macklemore out of the door including Sheeran’s own backing band.
The next tour date is meant to be tomorrow (19 September) but whether there’s enough show left to go on remains to be seen, with fans trying to sell their tickets and prices dropping significantly.
Macklemore was dropped from the tour for voicing support for Palestine, and one of those who backed him after he was booted out was popular children’s entertainer Ms. Rachel.
She released a statement where she said: “It’s not wrong to say Palestinian people should be able to be free, and Palestinian kids should be able to grow up.
“It’s wrong to be silent during a genocide.”

Since Macklemore has donated $1 million to Palestine and challenged the Gillette Stadium owner Robert Kraft to do the same, with Kraft saying that before Macklemore had issued the challenge Sheeran had previously asked him to donate $2 million in ‘aid for the region’ to match the musician’s own contribution.
As for Ms. Rachel, she’s said she’s matched Macklemore and is urging others to match the donation in support of Palestine.
She said: “I will match Macklemore’s donation and I invite every wealthy white celebrity to match it and speak out against the genocide in Gaza.
“Over 20,000 precious Palestinian children have been killed and children continue to be killed every day.
“We have a moral obligation to use our privilege and platforms to protect children and human rights.”

If you’re wondering how a popular YouTuber who makes videos for children can afford to donate a million dollars like that then you may not be aware of just how popular she is.
Celebrity Net Worth puts Ms. Rachel’s net worth at around $50 million, so that donation is definitely not nothing to her but it’s something she can afford to do.
She’s making millions each year from the ad revenue and sponsorships that come with her videos, and her content has licencing deals with Netflix so she is surprisingly wealthy.
It’s come as a shock to some people after she matched the donation, as they knew she was popular but ‘never considered she had it in her bag like that’.
Others said they ‘never considered the idea that Ms. Rachel just had one million buckaroos to just donate like that’ and ‘didn’t know she had money like this’.
Well, she does, and she’s used a chunk of her $50 million net worth to match Macklemore’s donation.
