If you wanted to jam to your favourite tunes – then it’s tough luck as Spotify is reportedly down for users across the board.
According to people all over the UK, issues are plaguing their accounts, which has seen many complain online that they can no longer listen to their bops.
Per Down Detector, a platform which detects when a service is ‘down’, ‘user reports show problems with Spotify‘ with it detecting 3987 issues at 3:24pm and 4100 just four minutes prior.
”We’re aware of some issues right now and are checking them out!” the company said on its X page, but did not say what caused the problems or when they may end.
Those who have experienced the outage have reported getting a ‘Something’s wrong’ message on their screen, with users airing their frustrations on social media.
One user said on X: “You told us to delete and reinstall and now I can’t even log in.”
Another said: “I logged out, cleared cache, reinstalled the app, restarted my WiFi, used data, and the app is still not working.”
Someone else shared: “It won’t let me log in. I uninstalled it thinking it was my problem, and now it still won’t let me log in.
“Before uninstalling it, I was listening to music and added a new song to my playlist, but it didn’t download, and it wouldn’t let me download or listen to anything.”
Another threatened: “Having a nightmare with the app now, just feel like deleting it for good.”
Then, a user said they should get something back for the hassle.
They wrote: “What kind of compensation will we get for it being down? We do pay a monthly fee for a service to be provided.”
A user also said: “I took the time to install Spotify to listen to music, and now I have to listen from THE WEBSITE. Please hurry, I have to leave in a little while and Chrome uses up mobile data like crazy.”

The last time Spotify’s X account revealed it was looking into suspected issues was on 27 July, nearly two months to the day of this outage.
However, it went on to update users promptly the same day to say: “All clear now – thanks for your patience with this!”
At the moment, people are stating they have attempting to fix the problem themselves by uninstalling and reinstalling the app.
But now they aren’t able to log back in – prompting them to post online.
Others have instead made light of the situation, and then there were those who decided it was the perfect opportunity to take the mick out of users and their pain.
“things that don’t happen on Apple Music haha,” said a user, which prompted others to agree in the comments.
