UFC fighter Allan Nascimento has been found dead at his home at the age of just 34.
The sad news was confirmed by UFC, with the organisation saying he had been ‘unresponsive’ after suffering an ‘apparent heart attack’.
Nascimento, known as ‘Pure Osso’, was declared dead at the scene by first responders.
A UFC statement said: “This morning, Monday, August 3, our beloved fighter and exemplary flyweight Allan Nascimento was found unresponsive after suffering an apparent heart attack in his sleep.
“Despite the efforts of the responding medical team, he was pronounced deceased at the scene.
“Our thoughts and deepest condolences are with Allan’s family, friends, team-mates, and loved ones during this incredibly difficult time.”
The Brazilian fighter had an impressive 22 wins across his 29 bouts, with seven losses.
He joined UFC in 2021 and fought six times for the organisation, holding a 4-2 record.
Nascimento lost in his debut at UFC 267 in a close split decision against Russian Tagir Ulanbekov, but earned wins against Jake Hadley, Carlos Hernandez, Jafel Filho, and Cody Durden.
He last fought just weeks ago on 20 June at UFC Fight Night 279 at the Meta Apex in Nevada, where he faced Mitch Raposo.
Despite getting an early knockdown of his opponent, the win was given to Raposos based on a split decision.
Nascimento represented the Chute Boxe Diego Lima team based in São Paulo and trained with the likes of former UFC lightweight champion Charles Oliveira and Elves Brener.
He had a black belt in Brazilian jiu-jitsu and earned a reputation for his impressive submissions in the octagon.

Tributes have begun to flood in for the MMA star with former UFC lightweight champ Dustin Poirier, Mackenzie Dern and former two-division champ Henry Cejudo all offering their condolences over the sad loss.
Fans have also flooded the UFC post with tributes to the fighter.
One wrote: “I just fell to my knees, rest in peace.”
A second said: “RIP prayers for his family and friends/teammates at Chute Boxe. You will be missed, sir.”
“Rest In peace man crazy he literally just fought a little over a month ago man,” a third said. “Life is f**king crazy so do whatever you can to make the most of it.”
Someone else wrote: “Rest in peace Allan. Entertaining in the ring, always trying to end the fight. True warrior, with some of the highest level BJJ to ever grace an Octagon. You will be missed.”
