Unlock GTA 6 on Your PS5: The Unexpected Upgrade You Can’t Ignore

So, Grand Theft Auto VI is dropping on November 19—get ready to actually clear some space on your console, because this game isn’t just big, it’s colossal. We’re talking a staggering 210 gigabytes of digital mayhem that’s about to gobble up nearly a third of your original PS5’s storage. Yikes, right? If you’ve been casually saving a few gigabytes here and there, you might want to rethink that strategy. Honestly, it’s like Rockstar decided to cram an entire city, a blockbuster movie, and your wildest gaming dreams all into one beast of a download. The PS5 Pro with its 1TB storage isn’t just a recommendation—it’s practically a survival tool for this release, offering not only the space but also the power to make your Vice City escapades pop with stunning visuals and buttery smooth loading times. Flexibility is key, too, and Raylo’s subscription deals are making the upgrade less painful on the wallet than you’d expect. So, the real question becomes: are you upgrading your console to handle this digital beast or are you ready to sacrifice your other games to the void? Choices, choices… LEARN MORE

Grand Theft Auto VI lands on November 19, and fans are busy getting their at-home setups ready ahead of the highly-anticipated release.

As part of the preparation, making sure you have enough storage to handle Rockstar’s latest blockbuster is paramount – and that could mean upgrading your console.

In a post shared on October 27 by PlayStation Game Size, it was revealed that GTA 6 is expected to have a download size of a whopping 210 GB.

It follows similar claims by GTA 6 leaker Cyberleek, that the game sits at over 200 GB.

So, the PS5 Pro (1TB) is the only console for the job, offering plenty of storage, plus the power to take your GTA 6 experience to the next level.

Now is the perfect time to upgrade your console in time for GTA 6 (Rockstar Games)

Its lightning-fast SSD helps keep loading times to a minimum, while the DualSense controller adds another layer of immersion with haptic feedback and adaptive triggers.

And when it comes to visuals, the PS5 Pro really comes into its own.

Its AI-powered PSSR tech enhances image quality, while advanced ray tracing delivers more realistic lighting, reflections and shadows, helping bring Vice City to life.

At the time of writing, you can save money on your upgrade, too.

Raylo is offering flexible subscriptions* for bestselling consoles, such as the PS5 Pro (1 TB).

How GTA 6’s size compares to other games

For an idea of size, GTA: Chinatown Wars came in at just 58.8MB, GTA: San Andrea measured 4.2 GB and Grand Theft Auto V (PS3) is 17.2 GB, as per a report by GTA VI-Galaxy on Facebook.

In fact, the latest game is set to take up nearly a third of the original PS5’s 667 GB of usable storage.
