The dad whose family went viral when they burst in on him being interviewed by the BBC has shared an update on how they’re all doing now.
It was all the way back in 2017 when political expert Robert E Kelly was invited onto the BBC to discuss a situation with North Korea, but the geopolitical natter was interrupted when his four-year-old daughter Marion came into the room and strode over to him in dramatic fashion.
Robert tried to keep her out of shot without turning away from the camera, but the parental multitasking was unsuccessful and only thwarted further when his baby son James joined in.
The interview had descended into utter chaos by this point and there wasn’t much salvaging it, but the cherry on the cake was mum Jung-a rushing into the room to give it her best go.
The political expert’s wife slid dynamically into the room to scoop up their children and usher them out, which ended up with her lying on the floor and trying to shut the door without being noticed.
It didn’t work, as she was in full view of the camera, but it proved to be a remarkably funny moment that went viral around the world.
Since then Robert has shared some updates on his family and how they’re doing, a couple of years ago he provided a look at what they were up to these days, and he’s just done it again.
With it being almost a decade since the viral interview Robert posted on social media that it had been a while since he shared ‘BBC Dad’ content and showed us what his family looked like now.

Thanks to the passage of time Marion is now 13 and James is 10, they seem to be doing very well and the family have their own fans who have loved to learn what they’re all up to.
They’ve said it’s ‘incredible how time flies’ to see that the iconic interview interrupting kids were now becoming teenagers.
Plenty of others shared an animation of the two children that was made when they first went viral of Marion’s dramatic walk and baby James’ trundling along in his walker.
People have said they ‘love to see them thriving’ and have sent their best wishes to BBC Dad and his family.
