Inside the Shocking Prison Romance: Chris Watts' Secret Wedding Plans Revealed

You ever stumble across a story so twisted it makes you pause and wonder, “How on earth did we get here?” Well, buckle up, because Chris Watts’ saga is exactly that kind of dark rabbit hole. Back in 2018, Watts pleaded guilty to the unimaginable: the deaths of his pregnant wife Shanann, their two young daughters, and their unborn child. Five life sentences without parole, plus decades more for the horrific details, cemented his place in true crime infamy. Now, amidst prison walls, he’s planning a wedding with a new girlfriend—which, I gotta say, raises more eyebrows than a daytime soap opera twist. Even his new girlfriend’s own brother—who’s behind bars—called the whole thing “kind of messed up.” You can’t script this kind of drama. So, what’s your take? Is it the ultimate proof that truth is stranger than fiction… or just a grim nod to human complexity? Dive deeper and decide for yourself.LEARN MORE

Watts pleaded guilty in November 2018 to nine charges in connection with the deaths of his pregnant wife, Shanann, 34, their daughters, Bella, 4, and Celeste, 3, and their unborn child, a boy, in Frederick, Colo.

He was sentenced to five life sentences without the possibility of parole, plus 48 years for the unlawful termination of Shanann’s pregnancy and 36 years for tampering with a deceased body.

When Henderson’s brother Johnny, who’s jailed in Ohio for sexual assault, learned his sister is involved with Watts, he said: “I am shocked. That is kind of bad. It is kind of messed up.”

The quotation before “I love you too” appears to use mismatched single and double quotation marks in the original image. It has been retained as printed, with the curled marks converted to straight marks.
